Lamanna Summer House rises in a wonderful location overlooking the crystal waters of Cala Porto, at a few steps from the center of the city, and from old town of Polignano a Mare.
The rooms are comfortable, elegant and charming.

The place

Our structure takes place in one of the most enchanting places of Polignano a Mare, called Lama Monachile, from which it is possible to admire the splendid view of the cliff overlooking the sea.
It’s also recommended to enjoy a wide panoramic view of the Via Traiana, built by the Emperor Trahan to connect Rome to Brindisi.
At few steps from the beach “Cala Porto”. At few steps from the beach “Cala Porto”, cove of white pebbles set between rocky walls and bathed by crystal clear waters with sea caves, surrounded by the historic center and the main square.
During the evening it’s possible to admire the beauties of the country while strolling around through the streets of the historic center, sipping a drink from the balconies overlooking the sea and then enjoy a romantic candlelight dinner.

The surroundings

Lamanna Summer House is located in the heart of Puglia, only a few kilometers from Castellana Grotte where it is possible to admire unique sceneries along enormous caves and natural corridors where stalactites and stalagmites create spectacular shapes. The ``White Cave`` is the most beautiful of all the entire Karst path. Monopoli is the city for lovers of beaches with fine sand, Conversano, Alberobello. The ``Capital of the Trulli``, famous throughout the world for its conical shape ‘s houses. Typical are the narrow streets of the historic center consisting of approx. 400 trulli, UNESCO heritage, all of them are still inhabited, including the ``Trullo Sovrano``, the most advanced example of a trullo on two floors. The Valle d'Itria is one of the most suggestive areas of Apulia, from Ostuni the “white city”, from Matera the “city of stones”, and Locorotondo where you can visit the village that characterize it.

The cuisine

The knowledge of a place also passes through its gastronomic culture.
Dive to discover the specialties of our territory, the result of contamination by the many peoples who have crossed it.
The Apulian cuisine is mainly characterized by the importance given to the raw material, both of land and sea, the ingredients are aimed at enhancing and not altering the basic flavors of the products used.

Focaccia Pugliese

Thick, soft and with crunchy edges, decorated with cherry tomatoes and oregano. The Apulian or “Barese” focaccia is a simple and at the same time tasty dish.

Taralli

Very famous, the taralli are rings of unleavened dough composed of flour, water or wine, oil and salt. They are baked in the oven and you can find them in various versions, with the addition of fennel seeds, vincotto and also in the sweet variant with chocolate and sugar. You will find them in every bakeries and supermarkets.

Orecchiette with turnip tops

The main dish of the Apulian tradition, the real orecchiette must be strictly realized by hand. To enhance the flavor, the orecchiette must be drained together with rape, garlic and anchovies.

Panzerotti

Classico street food pugliese, tipico delle festività di Natale, i panzerotti sono una vera istituzione, in particolare a Bari. L’impasto è fatto di farina, lievito, acqua e sale e all’interno può essere farcito con tanti ingredienti diversi, come pomodoro e mozzarella, ricotta e rape, carne, ecc.

FAQ

When can I check-in?

We ask to all our guests to inform us of their arrival time. We would be grateful if you could communicate your arrival time in advance to offer you a better service and for parking instructions. Check-in must be done between 15.00 and 20.00. Failure to give notice may result in long waits for which no claims for reimbursement are accepted. For arrivals before these times we cannot guarantee room availability, you will be able to leave your luggage later on. During check-in, you will be required to show a photo ID.

And check-out?

The check-out time is from 9:00 am until 11:00 am. You can leave your luggage to pick them up later if you wish.

Can I bring a friend to the suite?

It is strictly forbidden to bring other people into the room or garden with out the authorization of the manager, penalty supplement.
